PC Software

TheWord (Free)
This is an amazing program and it's completely free.It's fast, you can move the windows and the search engine is great. You can get greek & hebrew and just click on the word for the english translation.
Get the basic package here. Then download the extra modules here. Or you can download 722 resources using this torrent. Instructions for download are here.
Make sure to get
English Standard Version (ESV);
Apostolic Bible Polyglot (APB); Greek-English Interlinear translation of the LXX/Septuagint (Greek OT) and the NT.
Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) all the words are linked to the strongs numbers to see the original greek or hebrew word.

Logos Bible Software (Paid)
Logos is paid software but probably the best of the paid. The number of commentaries and books is incredible and growing daily. They have the NICOT/NICNT, Baker, socio-rhetorical, WBC series to name just a few. Also if you but one of the packages you can use them on your iphone/touch.

Free ESV with commentary
If you've bought an ESV bible there should be a postcard that came with it. Go here to download the ESV and the references that come with for logos. This includes Kent Hughes preaching commentary on Romans.

iphone/Mobile Software

Olivetree Bible Software (Free/Paid)
This is paid software but really excellent for the iphone, palm and android. You can get the NIV study bible notes, ESV study bible, and all the versions. There are some free resources here, including the HCSB and many ebooks.

ESV Bible (Free)
Just the bible and the notes for the iphone. Just search for this on the itunes app store to get the version for your country.


LOGOS for iPhone/ipod touch
Logos is great. If you've purchased books for logos you can also download them to your iphone/ipod touch and have almost your whole logos library available on the go. Which means you can have your purchased commentaries and dictionaries with you even when you're not connected to the internet. It is a little slow though.


Online Study Bibles
Click the links at the top of the page to see the online versions of the study bibles. The HCSB, NET and NLT study bibles can be accessed free. The NLT study bible can be access through the preaching website that the link takes you to and then you look for the verse search bar on the right hand side of the page.
